An adult day health care provides an array of health and social services in a congregated setting. The day care offers a variety of programs to individually meet the needs of each client. The program assists family and spouses by providing a safe and stimulating environment while they are away from their loved ones.
Who can benefit from these services?
The day care targets elderly clients that suffer from Alzheimer's or Dementia who may need assistance in reacquiring basic daily living skills and need daily reality orientation. The program also focuses on elderly clients who are socially isolated and need a socially stimulating environment. The day care also provides services to the elderly who need assistance while their family member is at work or needs a time of respite.

The adult day health care provides excellent care for the elderly in a cost effective manner. This is an excellent alternative in the delivery of long-term care services that is producing dynamic results for participants and their families. The Adult Day Health Care is a community based service that assists elderly people to remain living in their own homes or with their family for as long as possible.
Who pays for these services?
Services can be paid for privately or can be covered under the Medicaid program for waiver approved clients. The adult day care may also be covered under some private insurance companies.
Is transportation provided?
We can help assist you with the application process for transit services provided by GRITS and HART.
